Wanaka Squash Club

Business House Squash
After last years success we are looking to kick this off again on Thursday 11th April. This is aimed at beginner squash players with 3 of the 4 players to be newish. A really social competition with an emphasis on fun rather than results (a drink is highly recommend with your opponent/team afterwards) The format will be the same as last year:
  • Teams of 4
  • $5 per person per night
  • 5 minute warm up with 15 minute games
  • One round to start at 5.30pm and another at 7.15pm
  • Non stop scoring with team scores added together to find a result

Pennants (Spring/Winter/Summer League)
It has been decided that the name Pennant is confusing and as a result we have changed the name to reflect the season we are playing in. Spring League kicks off on Monday 8th April. Games to be played on Monday and Tuesday nights. If you are keen to play, please put your name up on board at the club or contact Will Townsend on 021494558
 
Top Club
This is a pre interclub round robin tournament with the other clubs from Central Otago. On Wednesday nights, this will go for 4-5 weeks playing each CO club once. This starts on Wednesday 3rd April. Each club puts up one person from each grade, Mens and Womens eg:

E vs E grader
F vs F grader

Interclub
This kicks off on Wednesday 1st May. This is every Wednesday with matches against other Central Otago Clubs. We are trying to work out the number of teams we can have. Subs
Are due for the year. An annual subscription is $200. This has gone up from $185 however the new sub of $200 includes entry to all pennants rounds. This fee was $7 per round last year. Your prompt payment is appreciated and saves hours of follow up work.
 
A & P Show Ground Gates
This is our main fundraising for the year. All that participated, a huge Thank You!!!! Final figures raised are yet to be confirmed.
